National Blog Posting Month – NaBloPoMo

Ever heard of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)?  I think the first time I heard it was last year.  Since then (and probably because I have two blogs) I’ve been assaulted with information about it.  I’d love to write a book someday.  I even have a couple of ideas (one that relates to each of my blogs), but neither of them are novels.  I don’t think I have the creative thoughtfulness for novel/fiction writing.  Both of my ideas are rooted in fact.

So, even though it might be fun to attempt to write a novel in a month I just don’t have it in me.  Besides, I’ve heard publishers are inundated with crappy novels every December/January.  I’m not saying all the novels that come out of NaNoWriMo are crappy…I have no idea.  I’m just repeating some criticisms I’ve heard. There are also success stories.  All you have to do is search NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month, to hear the good and the bad..

But today I stumbled across NaBloPoMo (National Blog Post Month).  Now this is something I could attempt.  Like I always tend to do…I jumped in head first and signed up to do it for both of my blogs (my other blog is Alaska Girl at Heart – Travel, Photography, and Other Fun Adventures).

I won’t guarantee long posts every day…heck, I won’t even guarantee that I’ll be successful at posting every day…but I’ll give it my best.

Is anyone else doing NaBloPoMo?  If so, leave a link to your blog below and I’ll be sure to add it to my reading list.

  1. Good luck! I’m trying it too. I failed pretty soundly at NaNoWriMo last year, but I’m not disheartened. This should be a more reachable goal. Have fun!

    1. Good luck to you too. I agree that posting on our blogs will be much more attainable.

Let me know what you think...
